Charity for British Pakistani Women
The team leading APWA UK's work for British Pakistani women.
APWA UK aims to raise the status of British Pakistani women through knowledge and support, and our trustees contribute greatly to this endeavour.
Seemi Awan is a philanthropist and Chairwoman of APWA UK. She holds a masters in economics and has worked as a lecturer and in local council social services, before a successful career in the property sector. She serves on international charity boards, addressing causes such as human trafficking, women's rights and mental health, and has provided APWA UK with office space in London.
Other trustees bring experience in women's empowerment, cultural events, fashion and media, and education, including roles such as founder of a women's empowerment foundation, radio presenter, cultural events organiser, and headmistress managing two charities.
